SAN DIEGO, Calif. – January 8, 2009 – Viejas Casino is the proud recipient of a Silver Davey Award for the Viejas Casino web site. The prestigious award, sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, honors the creative excellence of agencies and companies worldwide.
Viejas Casino was chosen for this year’s award from a pool of over 4,000 entrants. The award honors smaller companies who do big work, and applauds the creativity and effectiveness of Viejas Casino’s web site, http://www.viejas.com.

The judging process for the Davey Award is overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts, which is an invitation-only organization consisting of leading professionals in a variety of acclaimed media, advertising and marketing firms including: Yahoo!, Estee Lauder, Polo Ralph Lauren, ADWEEK, Coach, MTV, HBO, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Myspace.com and many others. Other award categories include: print and collateral, film/video, commercial, interactive multimedia, radio, integrated campaign, online advertising and marketing and marketing effectiveness.
The Davey Award, established in 2005, honors the outstanding work from the best small firms worldwide, where strength comes from ideas, intelligence and out-of-the-box thinking. This award competition is designed to level the playing field so that entrants compete with their peers and can win the recognition deserved.
