How to play Blackjack:
Win by creating card totals higher than the dealer’s hand without busting!
When the dealer busts, YOU WIN!
Terms:
Hit: Request another card from the dealer.
Stand: No more cards from the dealer.
Double down: Increase the initial bet up to 2x.
Split: Split your first two cards into two hands.
Insurance: Safeguard against dealer’s Blackjack. (Offered when dealer’s exposed card is an Ace)
Soft hand: When Ace(s) are included in your hand. (e.g. “Ace” + “Six” = Soft 17 = 7 or 17)
Bust/Busting: Hand total is 22 or higher.
Dealer Rules:
The dealer must stand on a hard 17 or higher value hand.
The dealer must hit on a soft 17 or lower value hand.
Card Values:
2 to 9 = Face value10, J, Q, K = 10
Ace = 1 or 11
